Day 2 - Kiev : After breakfast a half-day city tour. Includes "Vladimir's Old Town" - the place where Prince Vladimir the Baptist founded his Kremlin and built the first Christian church in Kievan Rus State. See the panorama ground (a marvelous view of the Lower Old Town called Podol) and Dnepr River (third-longest in Europe). See the Golden Gate of Kiev, University Building, Opera House, Kreshchatik Street (main Kiev boulevard), Arch of Friendship Monument to the founders of the city of Kiev and St. Vladimir's Cathedral. Optional inside visit to St. Sophia Cathedral - Kiev's oldest surviving church, built in 1037 by Prince Yaroslav the Wise to glorify Christianity, with 13 majestic domes, ancient frescoes and mosaics. Optional trip to Open Air Museum Optional boat trip "Kiev by Night" with folk show. Breakfast, lunch and dinner.
Day 3 - Kiev : Optional visit to Kiev Monastery of the Caves, is a historic Orthodox Christian monastery which gave its name to one of the city districts where it is located in Kiev, the capital of Ukraine. Since its foundation as the cave monastery in 1015 the Lavra has been a preeminent center of Eastern Orthodox Christianity in Eastern Europe. Together with Saint Sophia Cathedral, it is inscribed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site. This evening you leave Kiev for the start of your cruise.Optional Ukrainian National Choir concert.Breakfast, lunch and dinner.
Day 4 - Cherkassy : Arrival in Cherkassy, city tour. Cherkassy, known since the 13th century, played a great role in the history of Ukraine and was the center of Cossack life. Optional: Visit to the Museum of Local History Breakfast, lunch and dinner.
Day 5 - Kremenchug : In 1638 Kremenchug fortress was erected, its design created by French military engineer Giyom Levasser de Bonplan, who compiled a book "Ukraine Description." The record of Kremenchug as a place to live dates to the 17th century, near one of the forts associated with Tatars who crossed the Dnepr River. Today Kremenchug is an important industrial city in central Ukraine. Visit to a typical Ukrainian village. Breakfast, lunch and dinner.
Day 6 - Dnepropetrovsk : City tour of Dnepropetrovsk, formerly Yekaterinoslav, Ukraine's fourth largest city, with 1 million inhabitants. A vital industrial center of Ukraine, it was one of the key centers of the nuclear, arms and space industries of the former Soviet Union. It is home to Yuzhmash, a major space and ballistic missile designer and manufacturer. Optional visit to Airspace Museum. Breakfast, lunch and dinner.
Day 7 - Zaporozhye : Morning arrival in Zaporozhye, panoramic city tour. The city is more than 200 years old and situated about 350 miles southeast of Kiev. Archaeological finds suggest that Scythian nomads were living here 2,000 to 3,000 years ago. In the 15th to 17th centuries it was the Cossack fortress Zaporozkskaya Sech. Visit to Cossack Glory Museum. Optional Cossack Horse Show Breakfast, lunch and dinner.
Day 8 - Kherson : Morning arrival in Kherson. Opportunity to learn its rich history and admire its unique architecture. Enjoy a boat trip to the Dnepr Delta. Breakfast, lunch and farewell dinner.
Day 9 - Ochakov, Odessa : Early morning arrival in Ochakov. Bus tour of Odessa. Thanks to its old romantic traditions, Odessa is considered one of the world's most fascinating cities. Its inimitable coloring is sustained not only by the sea, the aroma of acacia flowers and velvety summer nights, but also by marvelous monuments of 19th-century architecture. Unique in their beauty, the Opera House, the Museum of Western and Oriental Art, the Museum of Archaeology and, of course, the famous Potemkin Staircase are symbols of the city's splendid past and superb present. Breakfast, lunch and dinner.
Day 10 - Ochakov : Disembarkation. Time to bid farewell to your new friends after your unforgettable journey.
